INFINITE RUN: DEFEND LA ISLA V.1
Infinite Run: Defend La Isla v.1, is an online video game, where the female character lead – identifiable as a “rebel” by Puerto Rican local media standards and the current government- dresses with a capucha and the Puerto Rican black and white “resistance flag” t-shirt. The game uses the infinite run platform, where in this context she is constantly running to collect US coins, escape from guards, power suit bankers/politicians men and a fragile infrastructure. Different symbols of the Puerto Rican nation (coquí, “cordero” from the coat of arms, Popular Bank of PR, etc.) are appropriated and their values are redefined within the video game context, to create a game that comments on the current political and economic bankruptcy turmoil of the Island.
